Notebook enclosure and HDD compatibility

Ok so I've got it into my head that I want to finally get myself an external hard drive. I have my heart set on one of those pocket sized ones too and no one not even my bf is changing my mind on it.

So now that that is settled can anyone help me on where I can get a good deal on a HDD.

I'm planning on getting this: 2.5 Sata Enclosure

I was starting to set my heart on a 720gb, but sadly 2.5 cannot carry that size so I've turned my attention to 500gb. I saw the 500gb at Take2 with "price to be confirmed" sticker on it. So I phoned them to ask for the price. Between me typing this message and waiting for a reply they've gone and deleted the product without getting back to me, BUT I have proof from my earlier search of google: Take2 Samsung 500gb Sata Notebook HDD

So if anyone knows or has any ideas, or know of any on-line or B&M stores running a special please let me know.

I've had two conflicting opinions on notebook hdds. One friends says they're too delicate and unstable while another insists that they don't have any problems.

I'm really wanting to get the notebook purely becuase of how compact it is, but...sigh the size of the normal hdds...

Would appreciate some help/ advice.
