Notebook USB-C Charging Support

My Wife bought this notebook over the weekend and I was wondering whether it could accept a battery charge over USB-C from a powered docking station? Can I simply plug a USB-C cable connected to a wall charger to check of the battery charges as confirmation? There is nothing in the device's manuals or HP's website regarding this.

Tried with a colleagues dell pc and it ignores it.

Some x86 tablets/notebooks do charge over USB-C however this is usually only when they are already on.... great engineering decision that.
