I am not the biggest fan in the world of laying fresh new cable, but I can live with it. What's far more fun though is removing old cable that no one seems to want to touch, "just in case" it may be needed. Witness this beautiful pile we made of old phone and a bit of network cable:

That was about the 3rd pile we made last week. All because the people before us were too afraid to take the side cutters and let out the cable cutting demon

That's not cable :p

Cable is when you pull out about a ton of the stuff (x21) in a distribution layer migration to a channelised setup on a sunday for a huge enterprise network. Which also pales in comparison to cabling contractors removing thousands of temporary lan cables post emergency campus move :D

Ok ok, you beat me fair and square :p

I'm back to work tomorrow after a week's leave and I can already see my colleague and I going on more cable hunting expeditions. I wonder what's in store on the other side of the corridor from where we cut this stuff out.
