Novatel Expresscard34

Hi All

I recently upgraded to Vodacom's Novatel expresscard34 however the software would not allow USB connect on my Toshiba L30 114 notebook so I installed VMC v7.
Any ideas why?

What other dashboard are available for this modem: Novatel Expresscard34 model Merlin XU870

Thanks, software downloaded and works FB on both networks(MTN&Vodacom)
