Novatel U740 Card and Connection Software

Hi Guys.

I know there are lots of people out there who want to use their Vodafone cards with MTN or Virgin sim cards. I found that the card it self works fine but that the Vodafone Connect software has issues about using non-vodacom sim cards in the data card.

There is a sollution in the form of Novatel's own software, called MobiLink, which can be downloaded from:

http://www.acord-92.si/ftp/UMTS/

You are still able to see your usage, send SMS messages, and basically do all the things you could with the Vodafone connect software, without the hassle of it being branded.

There are lots of forumites that have managed to connect to both Vodacom and MTN using VMC, what issues are you referring to?

Used my Virgin sim in my U740 without any problems.

No hassles with the VMC software when I used the VM sim.

/chucked the VM sim away a long time ago
