I recently got adsl DO1 from telkom.

I have seen on your post that programs like facebook is very slow.
So the other day, wanted to go to facebook, but Telkom were very slow.
So I went to my laptop, with my normal cellphone with MTN, and went on facebook in no time.
While sitting in front of my adsl line and wait, with MTN happy on facebook.

My question is, howcome MTN goes on, and Telkom not.
Where is the hickup. please explain this to me.

I phone someone in my area, we both run pcpitstop speedtest. both speed about the same.
then we both open cnn.com. same speed.
phone telkom; They let me download winamp, good speed. But no facebook.
Eventauly my modem were change to unbrigde, then facebook normal again.
Somehow it seems my modem was the problem. Telkom premium combo.

Never use a combo router, they are generally bottom of the barrel "trying to save money" garbage. Its not a problem only in SA, international service providers do exactly the same thing.

Go buy yourself a good router.
