Ive just heard or read of Offsidestream here on the forums.

Been with NTV for a long time now, from having a 4mb line to a 20mb line currently. BUT NTV seems to be buffering a lot SD and HD. Some channels some days are fine and others not. Even the SD channels quality lowers to LD to keep things running it seems. Sky, BT and so on buffers more than other channels. Sometimes the USA channels are better quality with very little buffering but this is also up and down.

SO now i am wondering if Offsidestream is better with regards to buffering as the channels they have looks to be the same as my English NTV subscription.

Then lastly NTV is 30 signup which is great, i see Offsidestream looks to be a monthly billing story until you decide to call it quits, this true?

Can anyone give me some answers ?

Have you tried other ISPs? Some sites stream better with certain ISPs.

I started with MWEB on the 4 mb line uncapped. Then moved over to VOX fat pipe and it was way better wrt buffering with VOX. Like is said on 20mb line now with VOX and buffering. I do not dare attempt HD... I can stream any 1080p movie from SALTS/Kodi and it loads quickly without any probs.

NTV.mx HD works perfect for me on Afrihost, but I do have a 100MB line so it may be that. I get buffering and **** on my Vox Fatpipe account so I don't even bother with it.

Mmmmm, not sounding great having a VOX account then, but then again Ho3n3r said his Afrihost was crappy.

So far ive not anyone talking about Offsidestream yet...

For me it's just about pricing. Offsidestreams only has 1 package at R315 a month. NTV has multiple and cheapest being R260 a month with all the Sky Sport HD channels including F1.

Well I wasn't on 100Mb/s. But the fact that it works 100% on a different ISP on the same speed told me it was AH.

At the time there were many complaints about them with regards to streaming.

Before they switched to the new backbone or after Ho3n3r?

from what i read on other forums offsidestream is monthly billing until you cancel, but it is very difficult to cancel some guys had to cancel there card because there where still getting charged after there cancelled there subscription i use streamtvbox, give them a try

Offsidestream also lauched Usemytv and both are run by the same skelms. They refuse to acknowledge cancellation requests.
Do not respond to emails and you will be stuck with them taking money off your card.

I had to "block" them from debit-ting my card. Will see what happens this month.

Stay clear.

Hi all

Also using ntv on a 10M line - both Vox fatpipe and telkom capped are giving HD buffering issues on certain channels, which come and go. Anyone have a dead cert ISP recommendation?
