Hi Guys,

Anyone been to numetro to watch matches in 3D ?

if so what is your impression of it ?

R100-R240 if I'm not mistaken. R100 for the group games, higher prices for the semi-finals etc. The final is R240.

I'm pretty curious myself.

its a ripoff

then u prob wont be allowed to bring your own food, drink etc - and theyll overcharge on that too

was wondering myself, do they just upscale to 3d or is it a "proper 3d" feed using 3d cameras, how do they get the feed?

Its a proper feed - same feed going to ESPN in the states. And no Vuvuzonkas allowed in the cinema.

I can understand paying R60 for an Avatar Ticket at Emperors Cine 1 - but R100-R240 just to watch the soccer in 3D? insane!

No the games are broadcast in 3D.... first time ever...

I know but the other member asked how do they upscale it to 3d.

It is like shooting a scene with a IMAX / 3D camera vs digitally altering the scene after being shot with a normal camera.

ah ok so from 1080 to whatever the cinema uses... sorry

Haha no problemo :D

Was thinking of getting myself to one of these shows... R120 for once in your life time is fine.

Just booked now still 100 bucks at monte, for the brazil spain (probably) game... should be amazing and it is cinema nevau
