Well some of you might of heard or read how peeved I've been over the last few days with my ADSL connection and WoW. Soon as it gets to the end/beginning of the month my connection shoots through the roof (Which I'm sure is all the P2P users abusing their caps)

Today after some checking around I spoke to Clipse, He was very helpful and and replied to all of my constant PM's bombarding him with questions. When I got home to see my 2000ms pings. I got fed up and applied for a 1 gig account with NukeCap. All I can say WOW!!!!!

My Pings started of at about 280ms :eek: yes you heard me right , and after going to some towns and attacking some mobs it averaged out at about 450, It spiked once or twice for a little while to 600, but was not noticable at all. 450 is what I used to get on a good day, though now its stable 450 and 50% of the time even lower.. not the usual 450 spike to 1.2k ms

Felt great to have my rogues gouge stike and still be able to swing around and backstab people, at month end/beginning without the lag of it fading as I swung around.

Played for about 1 hour and 45 min and I got about 7 megs down and up over that time (Clipse confirmed it as 6 megs)

I'll be pushing it over the weekend in some heavy areas and will let you know.

Though if what I have got right now is anything to go by, I would recommend to anyone on ADSL that is serious about their RPG online gaming and need the low pings to give NukeCap a try
 
This vpn package is ***ly especially for heavy gamers and high lvls. Dueling was a nightmare until I got this package. My pings range from about 250+ in open zones and max 550+ - 600 in Cities such as IF. But ping doesn't really mean much. The packet loss is what shines with this setup. It feels as if ping is 50 odd. No latency or fat time delays when interacting with npc's.

Ok, so you have a great ping... cash wise? I pay R200 for 500 megs of vpn. I play about 5-8 hours a day depending on the day and it lasts me until the end of the month . Although I have been grinding it badly recently so I decided to move up to 1gig which is ONLY R100 more.

Support is great too. you can always get hold of Clipse on irc/email and is fast and efficient when it comes to solving problems you might encounter.

I highly recommend this package to any serious gamers.
 
I havent played WoW past my 10 day guest pass. Didn't really enjoy it as much as I hoped. *run get killed* *run get killed* *run get killed* *try and chat with someone get killed*

But I must say things lewks good with nukecap. :D
 
hey noone, you should try Guildwars perhaps.. Its not so utterly competitive with regards to raids and what not, and from what I see it fits the older blokes like us better ;)

I stopped with WOW and jamming Guildwars, to me its alot better(way back i made a post regarding GW that wont be better than WOW) damn i made big judgement error then :)
 
What is GW like now? I played it through beta, but found to play the end game effectivly you had to basically level 4 chars to max in order to PVP worth anything with anyone?

Is it still the same?

With Nukecap now.. I'm gonna get back into my MMORPG's with avengence
 
Hey Kalvaer, nice to hear that :)

Guildwars is alot more(my opinion I guess) focused on the quests, and once you hit high enough level you can properly have guildwars ie. guilds vs guilds, other than that, the quests are really decent and keeps you entertained.

Im not at all focusing on playing the game for the guildwars, atm its all about questing and enjoying the game, the landscape is by far big enough.. so it will keep me busy till kingdom come and not force me into raiding or raiding or raiding or raiding lol

If you decide to play again, come jam with me and a buddy, we play european and mostly every night, graveyard shift ;-)
 
Btw guys, please remember. Every signed up user, getting another user to signup for 500MB or more, will receive 50MB added to their account and the new user will get 50MB added to his account.

Just fill in the reference: with the user who let you know/got you to sign up. So that I can check if that user is still active.
 
Well just to let you all know, that I tried to push it as hard as I could over the weekend, Other than a few hours sleep inbetween and a visit to the in-laws I pushed pretty hard!

Friday night and Saterday night (Or morning actually) I forced myself to make a few trips to IF during the peak playing times. Needless to say my PC stalled right away. I couldn't move or do anything. Was kinda upset... but not at NUKECAP.. It wasn't that at all.. It was my PC iself that froze. Turned down all the graphics and settings to the lowest possible and everything came right again.

With everything going on and the mad house that IF can be, My ping never climbed higher than 480.

So once again thanks Clipse... Now I need to upgrade my PC to be able to handle it :)

edit: Ok, going to go even a bit further, and give myadsl users a discount as follow, remember to fill in reference: box, myadsl - "username on myadsl" and this will be limited, so if your interested, go for it before the offer ends.

I am reporting the same here.

I am also subscribed to the unshaped vpn service from NukeCAP, and all I can say is keep up the good work.

Clipse is an excellent administrator and is always at hand no matter what the time or problem.

Reviving an old thread, but I appreciate the feedback. Thanks Fallie ;-)

Would be nice to have a thread for all "players" relating to ISP's, where specific comments could be made, oh well hehe

This looks like something i really need, my internation ping has been spiking lately making it dangerous ingame.

Have registered at Nukecap and applied for a package.
