Well, we have been in contact with reselling ADSL ISP accounts, no mention yet who we will be reselling regarding SAIX/IS or perhaps UUNET ;-)
What we going to try out for June, is a 128k proxy shared among 25 users maximum at a lower cost for June. If this idea works, we will impliment this with our 3gig adsl packages at a stable cost ie. you get 3gig normal bandwidth + once capped you get put on this proxy rather than the ultimately shared among SA 64k(or whatever it is) capped pipe from Telkom. If the idea fails, we will see why and if its only because of limited bandwidth/over usage, we might rather consider offering this on 192k/256k pipe.
In theory, this is a much lower contention ratio than you will get on capped adsl and the proxy side will be included in the 3gig adsl package fee.
For June, we will be running this idea at R60 for the month per user, and if we feel it works out well (depending on user input/user feedback) we will impliment this right back into the 3gig ADSL accounts.
Currently we are looking at providing 3gig ADSL accounts with this proxy at R240 / month, I think it will work and those interested in using this during June, please read the news posting on http://www.nukecap.co.za for more information to signup for this.
Any user input regarding this solong would be great, realisticly the users on the proxy wont get close to what they will get on average with the other seperate proxy add-ons we offer, but cost effectively this might just be what certain users require.
