NUM demands 15% wage increase

The biggest labour union at Eskom demanded a 15% wage increase, as the cash-strapped utility struggles to generate enough power to meet the country’s needs, resulting in daily blackouts.

Should have gone for 18% because that is the electricity price increase. CoCT give their own salaries the same increase as the rates and taxes so then all public employees should do the same. Private employees have no choice and needs to accept that they will now be joining the poor class because private business does not give big increases. Socialism working well.
