Just go to an MTN Shop and ask for a SIM Swap. Bear in mind that there is a charge for this.

For a contract SIM swap, the cost is about R100 Hopefully a prepaid one will be cheaper

MTN Connect stores charge R180 to do a sim swap to 3G Sim card for prepaid users, or a little less for a standard sim card. It takes 2-24 Hours for the sim to work

Prepaid sim swap = R99
3G Prepaid sim swap = R135
Contract sim swap = R110
3G Sim Swap = R110

If you are pre paid u need to bring I.D. sim swap takes 2-24 hours. Try the new sim card every hour till it works

If u are contract the contract needs to be in your name then u bring in I.D.
Sim swap takes at least 24 hours. not more than 48 hours tho.

If contract in business name then signatory must bring I.D plus Letterhead
