Number Portability

In a second - but it depends who's the cheapest. Hopefully there will be enough incentive to convince the operators to break whatever under the table deals they've hatched up and offer us something worthwhile.

Yes I will also go from MTN to Vodacom.

I like their cheaper deals but also you don't have to fill in forms for intl. roaming.

Specials? Why do other countries get new phones annually when we only get them every two years?

Could be worse. My girlfriend is in the USA for a couple of months. Just discovered that they pay to recieve a call

Seriously? I know on my t-mobile I have to pay to receive sms'es (think its 5¢) but defiantly don't to receive calls. $39.99 (R250) per month with 1500 minutes.

I seem to be the only one who is going frm Vodacom to MTN.

I got my Vodacom contract long before I knew about Telkom owning Vodacom and have no intentions of lining their pockets anymore.

I am suprised that all you Telkom haters want to move to Vodacom???

Well mine expires in jan but with italk and autopage they give u free stuff to sign contracts with them... My problem is i would like to stay with vodacom but all they give me is another phone... I don't need another phone and would rather go for the free stuff. MTN and CellC packages seem to have the free stuff. I maybe wrong that vodacom contracts don't come with free stuff, but if i am could u post a link to where the vodacom specials are. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a Telkom hater. And Telkom owning a stake in VodaCom doesn't make them Telkom. VodaCom are a good company in my books

In the states, the biggest thing people look out for in a package is "FREE INCOMING CALLS", or usually sold as "UNLIMITED INCOMING CALLS". So say you want X package, you'll get 200 minutes off-peak and unlimited incoming all day.. Stupid I know:rolleyes:

That's such a stupid comment to make. At the end of the day, who cares who you give the money to as long as you're getting the best deal.

I shall definately be staying with VodaCom... And I think Virgin will suck, I mean they're using CellC's current infrastructure aren't they or am I wrong:confused:

lol btw Scooby_Doo right on, viva la free stuff;)

They're scaly in their own right. ;)

Any company that deliberately misleads people with it's advertising is not worth trusting in my book. I'm refering to things like "Now only R29pm on a 24 month contract!!!" sp (for first 6 months R150 there after . .)
