I got a 1970s modal Vespa (P125x) encase anybody asks

Ok money is kind of short, I wanted to know if its legal to make your numberplate (with a proper code, not personalized) from a piece of paper laminated on perspex the size of a normal motorbike number plate.
I think it would be a temporary solution

thanks in advance :)

No, it must have the SABS stamp on it. Otherwise you'll get a ticket. You might be able to talk your way out of it tho, IE. I'm on my way to get a new one, etc.

Honestly, nobody cares enough about the sabs stamp ect. If its valid and it looks kinda real, they wont care..

I have a pic on my phone (too lazy to upload it lol) of a taxi with a number plate that was made of brown cardboard and a permanent marker for the writing...

As long as you do keep going it is good but once you are caught you are sure to be on the wrong side. Though there are many people going the way you are thinking off but the thing is that you will have to pay dearly. For a temporary bases it would work but you should try to get it fixed at the earliest.

Thanks, but we got a legit one instead, R80 bucks....
