I'm looking for a keyboard that allows easy entering of numbers into a spread sheet. All the keyboards I've downloaded default to text, and you waste extra keystrokes having to change to numbers on each cell.

Does anyone know of a keyboard app that you can default to use the numeric keypad only, or even better that you can configure which keys you want displayed?

Thanks for those links. Still not quite what I'm looking for but I'm getting there slowly...

In case someone does a search and stumbles across this, I thought I'd post some feedback. I never did find a keypad that didn't default to either full text or T9 text, but I have noticed that the latest version of Kingsoft Office (ver 5.5.3) for Android has a numeric keypad built into it. It allows you to stay in numeric mode and to navigate around the cells of a spreadsheet without the keypad minimising, which is exactly what we need to do data capture on tablets.

More generally, I am very impressed with Kingsoft Office - I have at various times over the past 18 months had four or five different office packages on my devices, and have had documents that cause problems with most of them at some point, but have always been able to open and read them using Kingsoft.

Yeah, I know, I almost sound like an Apple fanboi, but seriously, it works - does what it should and is free* too.

* The "free" part is mostly what differentiates this post from an Apple fanboi post.
