I just heard from a friend, that you can use two cards together (Not the same type) and plays games..

Like a 9500GT and 4830... Use physix on the 9500GT but all graphics runs using the 4830.. is that possible? If so.. how do you like set it up?

It would be pretty cool if it works.. But anyway.. :D

Thanks

Ype but you have to use a software hack so they play nice together, nvidia put something in their drivers to stop it working when they heard people wher doing that

There was a thread about this on mygaming like 5 days ago.

Keep in mind you need a hacked driver to make it work.

I see..

SOunds like an effort to get things working.. But anyway.. I just want to ask.. Does all Nvidia cards support physix? Like even cheapo ones? And will it actually matter? Because it's only going to be used because of physix and no graphics is needed from the Nvidia GPU..

There is a minimum that got introduced recently. It used to be any 8 series card and higher. Here's the list:

The 9500GT should work. But it's really not much of a gain for all that effort.

Yeah...

one of my friend tried this, and he messed up the computer, now doing the formatting thing... I think I'm going to leave it until it's really needed it..

Anyway.. thanks
