Nvidia driver stopped..kernel..recovered!!

Suddenly out of the blue, I keep getting this error when trying to play a *.mpg file in WMP12. Is this hardware related? I tried updating drivers but to no avail?! I'm running W7 with a Geforce 6600GTcard

I will say it is definitely the graphics card! Had this problem not so long ago playing a game and decided to hell with it I'm going to fork out for a new GFX card and BAM! that sorted out my problem. Did you recently upgrade to Windows 7 or upgrade to new components? that could be the problem and they aren't compatible with each other.

also have that issue with gpu at work.... had to disable hardware accelleration completely in control panel to prevent it from happening....

I also have been noticing that error at different times. I have the exact same graphics card and Windows 7 [64-bit]. I only started noticing this problem with latest drivers from NVIDIA (v260.99). I never saw that error with v257.21 or other older versions.
