Nvidia Geforce Now game streaming service launched

Nvidia has officially launched its cloud game streaming service - GeForce Now - to the general public.

The platform has been available to a limited number of users in beta since the beginning of 2018.

I’ve used it through a VPN on my Shield TV during beta. The latencies kill any form of enjoyment although my little guy does enjoy playing his sonic game. It would be smooth if they plonk some servers down south perhaps, and for casual gamers it would be more affordable then purchasing games. A long way off for us.

TBH there's so many freebie game giveaways these days that it works perfectly for a casual gamer like myself.

The last game I actually bought was below R100 and that was only to test gaming on Steam with Linux.

I don't see myself forking out a monthly fee for a few games. Especially since I don't have an uncapped broadband service.
