Hi guys

I am looking into buying this card. Is it true that it already supports Dx10?
Can get it for R6570 is that a good price?

Thanks in advance

Got my XFX 8800 GTX yesterday.

PLEASE NOTE: Nvidia are still in a beta of the driver for this card. according to http://winqual.microsoft.com/HCL - miscrosofts hardware list the 8800GTX is not supported out of the box, so at first you get a "Standard VGA adapter".

From NVIDIA - http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvista_x64_100.59.html

These NVIDA Windows Vista drivers are under development. This version is not fully optimized for full 3D performance and may not include all available features available on different operating systems. NVIDIA, along with the industry, is continuing to update its Windows Vista drivers to ensure maximum performance on 3D applications and add support for features. These drivers are provided "AS IS." They have got drivers for Vista, i have it installed and it seams to run fine, no problems.

I think a 8800GTX without a fully optimised driver will still kick any other graphics card @ss.

Query on Geforce 8800GTS XFX

Hey guys,

Just want to know what your opinion on the whole Vista system with these new cards that are apparently the only ones supporting DirectX 10. I have a great rig, but have been disappointed by my card, so I'm looking to upgrade, and I just want to know your opinions on whether to sit back for a while and see where this whole Vista thing takes us, or whether that 8800GTS is a precedent in it's own, Vista aside.

I just don't wanna go and drop R5000 on this card and in 6 months time find out the market has gone in a different direction.

I've looked up a lot of stuff on google etc, I just wanted to find out what some fellow gamers (I hope, talking about a card like this :p ) felt about the situation.

Thanks.

Get the card it will be fine. There are some issue with the current vista drivers. But a new driver to address these issues will be out end of the month.
