Nvidia SLI Question

Currently, I have another PC that has SLI cababilities and it has a 9600 GSO, a relative has another one which he said I can have, can I SLI them?

• 500 Watt PSU
• (X2) 9600 GSO’s but they are different brands, Forsa and XFX

Is it still possible?
( I don’t mind doing this, this will be the first time that I ever use SLI, since with the current setup I don’t get charged)

Just make sure that both cards have SLI connectors (to which the ribbon cable SLI link connects to). I know this may sound silly but my friend has a MSI Nvidia 9600 with no SLI link connector.

power should be fine i think, those cards dont have too much draw. coolermaster is a brand psu so you should be getting decent enough amps on the +12v rails.

Well nVidia recommends atleast a 600w psu if you want to run both in SLI, you MIGHT be able to get away with it with your psu but you'll most likely be running it at max load. Try it, and see if it works, if not the HX520 looks good.

Not really hey.

That power supply has 36 amps across the 2 rails will work without a doubt, if my old antec with 36 amps could run a 9800gx2 then this psu will run those 2 cards easily.
