Can you ride horses in NWN2?
No. Not yet anyway, but I suspect a mod will appear.

What you guys really need to remember, is that NWN2 is focused on presenting an environment where players can easily create their own adventures using a d20 toolset. So pretty much everything is modular and designed for easy mix and match integration using the graphical tools supplied as well as a powerfull scripting language. This of course means that compromises have to be made. The graphics for instance are designed around a modular system. They are not bad at all, but cannot really be what Oblivion has. On the upside, there will be thousands of adventures available for download in the near term. A couple of dozen of them will also be really good. The Adventure that comes with the game is just an example and a starting point. There is no fundamental reason that dedicated players can't relatively easily make something of similar of better quality. It's a really brave / awesome approach if thats what you want.

To be honest, I think that Oblivion is a better game. BUT I am enjoying NWN far more simply because I can play togethor with my wife. The fact that Oblivion doesn't support multiplay is almost enough to bring me to tears.

NWN2 is basically more of NWN1. Graphically its not that superb in my opinion, i was expecting more. It runs well with graphics on max (except for anti-stropic) and at 1280x1024 resolution... as long as i turn point light shadows off. The moment i turn it on, the game gives considerably less FPS in certain areas.

Overall, its entertaining stuff. If you enjoyed NWN1, its worth getting imo. I'm not that far into it though... cos im trying to get Rank 12 in WOW before 2.0.1 hits!
