TOKYO -- Ready to upgrade your Xbox 360 user experience? You'll get the chance next month.

Microsoft announced at Tokyo Game Show that the fully upgraded, revamped, reimagined interface for Xbox 360 will launch worldwide Nov. 19. Vice President John Schappert told the audience that the work on the project is done, and demonstrated the upgrade live, showing how the system's menus for selecting and finding games, movies and other content will work.

The update will roll out in 26 countries and 19 languages simultaneously, Schappert said.

That cant be true, MS always give there customers "choice". so if an arcade owner wants this new dashboard, he should be able to get it, unless he/she refuses to by an addon HDD. Choice... hmmm

arcade will get the dash, if you only have the 64meg memory card, you will not be able to customise your avatar.

Not if the press release the guys at TGS 2008 got is true. It specifies you require a 256MB memory card to receive the update. Not because the update is that big, but because of avatar customisation. This leads on the next statement made by Microsoft that avatars aren't optional. So, you can't get the update with a 64MB memory card. You need at least 256MB.

The main part of the update is firmware, so even without a HDD or memory card you will be able to upgrade.

But seriously, who still has a 64MB memory card? That only came out on the older Core units. And if you do, then you probably don't go online anyways. So, really this shouldn't affect anyone.

You can play on line with just the arcade or core.

Only 2 games are excluded - crackdown and burnout paradise all others is fine.

I got an arcade but they never gave me the games bundled with so I took the whole system back, but then they lost my mem card so they gave me a 512mb replacement.
