JOHANNESBURG -Minister of Communications General Siphiwe Nyanda has withdrawn the termination of Mamodupi Mohlala's contract. But Mohlala will have to take leave of absence as the Director-General of Communications and withdraw her court application, according to a court order.
"I'm very grateful for the president's intervention. I really needed intervention at that level and it seems to have given me a second opportunity in the public service," Mohlala told Moneyweb.
She said her lawyers started negotiations with government on Monday and both parties agreed on the wording of the agreement on Thursday morning before appearing in the Labour Court. The court issued an order in which both parties agreed to settle.
