Hi
I have just had a visit from a rep at Nymbis. He got an appointment as he told me Telkom want to replace all the copper in the area with LTE and they are partners with telkom.
After the visit he wants me send him our Telkom account and ISP account and they will come back with a solution.

I am very weary of this if he was partnering with Telkom surely he would have access to our account?

He said he can bring down call rates and there is redunacy in the fibre ring so no copper theft.

We are in Corlett Drive right near Oxford avenue.

Anyone dealt with them and can they bring in savings?

Are we reaching a point where LTE can replace copper?

I wouldn’t provide him with the details. Telkom can also by no means provide any partner with customer information as this should be a confidential breach. You should only provide him with your current line and package expense as per budget and ask him if he can provide a more cost effective product within the same standard.

Its a typical sales call.
They all want your cost details so that they can stick you on to a voip based solution.
I doubt they have anything to do with Telkom though.

I will string them along for a bit, on the business card there is in partnership with Telkom Business on the back.
But no mention of this on their website.
