O N E M O R E D A Y ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

If I may share my opinion..... that is the most ridiculous attitude I have heard of. Actually it is not that ridiculous, it is a bit like the closet Man U fans who only whip out their jerseys when the team is doing well. I support a team based on my nationality and provincialism (this may differ for others but I'm sure most do not just support a team when it does well!).

Well, I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'll explain it. I do this with the Springboks as well. When I see them making the wrong decisions I want them to lose to learn. They make me angry.
With Bafana it is a different story. They did not qualify according to merit. I want football to thrive and by nations qualifying automatically this dream of mine is shattered. Once they pass the first round they will have proven that
they belong in the tournament.

BTW please don't call others opinions ridiculous. It's not nice. ;)

Your opinion is ridiculous.

You are basically saying you only support teams when they win or do well. Ridiculous. You are one of those supporters who is not really a supporter and you more than likely jump from team to team until you find a winning one.

One year you like real madrid, then barcelona, then arsensal back when they won trophies then united. I bet you support NZ if they are doing better than us in the Tri nations.

Horrific stuff. Supporter means you support a team, it does not mean support winning teams, so you are not supporter. Best you support mexico tomorrow they will need it.

Nihilanth:

Mexico go up 1-0 (ahhhh yea my team is winning)
mexico concede 1-1 (ahhhh i hope they lose)
Mexico concede again( ahhhhhh my team is winning)

Shame dude. Whatever happens please do not support bafana in anyway, we do not need supporters like you.

Hmm. You misunderstand me, killadoob. For instance, I will never support a team other than the Sharks. Yet, if they are playing too horribly I want them to lose because
they do not deserve to win. I do not switch sides, although that is the only logical conclusion you can make, I don't blame you for it. Do not make me out to be someone only supporting the winning side.
I'll never care anything for Mexico. They're just a test to see whether Bafana is worthy to be in this tournament. I'm on the test's side.
Also, I said I'd support them once they reach the second round, once they have proved their merit. Even though your support, my support and the support of everyone on this forum matters nothing I will
still support the team, even if the support is based on nationality.

On a side note, ridiculing my opinion is in itself ridiculous, since its only your opinion.
I could for instance, call your opinion on my opinion ridiculous but then you could just call my opinion ridiculous!
Now THAT would be ridiculous.

*NB I don't like Kiwi's. 8)

I'm sorry but then you are as bad as someone who switches allegiance as you are saying you only truly support your team if they are doing well. If they aren't they don't get your support. So if the Boks are down 10 - 5 with 10 minutes to go, and they have not played well enough to satisfy you, you would actually be hoping they lose? I'm sorry but I'd rather they won and then go and watch the videos and learn their lessons from there!

Oh, and by the way people are free to state that someone's opinion is ridiculous!

Well of course they are free. I'm just emphasizing the stupidity of saying something which can easily be used either way and neither remark can ever be proven.

I don't walk away 10-5. At 20-5 I I still don't walk away. It starts when I see them making unacceptable mistakes for professional players. I mean playing REALLY badly, like they don't want to win. THEN I walk away or refuse to support out of disappointment.
In the past Bafana have disappointed me too many times when they could have won.
