Obama & Huckabee Frontrunners

For those that are following the US election process...

DES MOINES, Iowa - Sen. Barack Obama, bidding to be the first black president in American history, won the Iowa caucuses Thursday night, pushing Sen. Hillary Clinton back to third place in the opening test of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

On the Republican side, Mike Huckabee rode a wave of support from evangelical Christians to victory over Mitt Romney.

I am actually really nervous about Huckabee. Obama would most likely just be a tool, but a moderate tool, so I could deal with him in the office for a few years. Huckabee seems like a US Zuma in a way.

Ron Paul got 10% and raised $20 million last quarter alone. Go Paul!

Barak might (might) have trouble in the south where Huckabee has a lot of support. But than those are mostly republican states, so he just needs to carry the big northern states to have a solid lead.
 
Wow, I thought on the Rep. side, that Ron Paul was really popular (but then again, I've not been following things too closely). This Huckabee dude seems to be a real nut job. Scarier than Bush even.

I really like Obama and he is a great public speaker which is more than can be said for the infamous George W Bush. I'm not sure if he will 'just be a tool' but a telling factor will be who he chooses as advisors and who will make up his team if he does get into power.

He's smart but inexperienced whereas Hillary is also fairly smart but very experienced. Experience counts for a lot especially in politics where the right connections within the Senate can be very helpful.

What I really don't like is that this Huckabee: "stressed his religion to the extent of airing a commercial that described himself as a "Christian leader" in his race against a man seeking to become the first Mormon president."

Huckabee is a prize lunatic. He makes Bush look like an MIT graduate.

Obama isn't exactly my ideal candidate, but he's a damn side better than Huckabee.

Ron Paul never had a real chance. It would have been nice if McCain or Guiliani were more popular on the Republican front, though.

I don't know much about this Huckabee guy. But I don't really like Romney.

Hmmm... But many hopefuls have won in Iowa and never made it further. Time will tell. Just lets hope its a democrat in the White House next!

February 10, 1992 - Tom Harkin (76%), "Uncommitted" (12%), Paul Tsongas (4%), Bill Clinton (3%), Bob Kerrey (2%), and Jerry Brown (2%)

So I nerviously changed the channel to CNN expecting to see more of the same and I actually got to see this Huckerbee fellow. WOW what were the odds. Nessie gets more coverage over at SKY I'll have to settle for CNN *shudder*

I got a glimpse of the man behind Huckerbee's rise. Bad news for you lefties is it's not lucifer incarnet Karl *evil laugh* Rove but far worse.

Clinton attended Bilderberg Meetings in '91 if I'm correct. Hillary has also attended them. Could say something about the family relations. Granted, Bush I & II also have had invites and attended respectively. :(

Bilderberg meetings often feature future political leaders shortly before they become household names. Bill Clinton went in 1991 while still governor of Arkansas, Tony Blair was there two years later while still an opposition MP. All the recent presidents of the European Commission attended Bilderberg meetings before they were appointed.
