Anyone playing this game? :)
And if so, what char level/class?

I have a level 11 agent, it's a great game :D

Lvl 27 Vampire Custom class

My class is mostely a warior illusionist combined with sneak attack criticles.

He usualy goes into combat wearing only my drakbrotherhood listener gear, but if the criticle fails and the target is bad ass then he switches to his magical daedric armor with shield. he usualy fights with a long sword.

He is the guildmaster The Arena, The Dark Brotherhood,The Mages Guild, The Fighters Guild and The Thieves Guild. He's also part of this one anti vampire organization (lol) and he is also a honory knight of Leywin and also part of this "fanboy" knight group from bravil or chydenhall i think it was.

I am busy finishing up the last 2 parts of the Blades's Major quest and the Daedric Shrine quests. After that its just loose town quests and random dungeons left for me :)

I just wish it had the heart of the great RPG's like Fallout and Planescape: Torment.

Oblivion just feels so empty and soulless. Even with all the ambient AI crap they've implemented, it doesn't make up for poor writing and story concept. Such a shame.

Yea I kinda agree. The thing is a great story is one that reveals things as you go on but oblivion is kinda like "heres all the info now go save the world". Still a great game thow.

I must say I loved the dark brotherhoods story :)

Hey Vio, I just finished it this morning. Yeah I enjoyed the plot was quite well done I must say.

I find the characters in Oblivion so dull though, the voice acting is always very out of place. Especially the Dark Brotherhood ppl, I mean they don't sound evil at all, they talk like the goodies do. (i.e. "Oh, hello darling, it's so good to see you again!")

This was the case in Morrowind as well, I was really hoping that Oblivion would bridge the gap between having a huge dynamic game world and having a well-written, interesting and compelling storyline involving NPC's that have some endearing qualities. I'm yet to encounter an NPC that has some kind of personality. God, can't Bethesda just hire a frikkin' professional writer and be done with it!

Anyway, Vio, have you played Planescape: Torment? A few professional writers were involved in that game, and the storyline is simply mind-blowing. I'm really worried what Bethesda's gonna do to Fallout 3. From what I've seen of their work so far they are completely inept at creating a decent storyline with compelling characters, which is what made Fallout 1/2 classics.

Also, to the ppl that played morrowind. Don't you think the interface in Oblivion is a HUGE leap backward for mankind after Morrowind? I mean, it's obviously made for consoles, but Morrowind was also made for the original X-Box and it had a great interface that worked really, really well! I just don't get it, it's highly annoying! It's just plain lazy that they didn't tune it for the PC at all, it's terrible!

Okay, rant over.

Yea I have Planescape Torment its a awsome game. I actualy liked the dark brotherhoods quests. I think I loved it because they where so rosely talking about wacking of people neck tendens. :)

The only realy quest line I think that was cool so far was the dark brotherhood I think this is mainly due to your speaker speaking kinda like the emperor outa starwars :)

Yeah, that Lachance guy was cool, so much potential but they do nothing with it. Bethesda... *shakes head*
