Observations on signal strength, E1820 and E220

In areas with low signal, the E1820 absolutely refuses to connect, but the E220 do connect (at edge/gprs speeds of course).

Anybody had the same issue?


edit : Might be that the USB port does not supply enough juice for low-signal operation.
