Hi

Some feedback from my side.

With ICS-enabled Windows, the connection tend to hang during odd times.

With ICS-enabled Ubuntu, it's smooth sailing all the way. No hangs or drops or funny stuff... yet.

I only did a basic ICS setup in both cases (no cacheing proxy server or fancy firewalling stuff) to see what each platform does.

In Windows case I used the CellC dashboard to connect etc.

Now, what is your experience with sharing CellC (windows/ubuntu/linux) like?

Regards

When failed over to CellC 3G ( I have a gateway setup that routes between DSL and 3G depending on request, connection), i have have a script that pings e.g. google.co.za every 10 seconds. 1 packet. it keeps the connection alive for some reason.

I only messed around with ICS on windows for an hour or so

Setup the dongle on a desktop (win XP)
desktop connected to netgear router (wireless) via ethernet cable
Browsed wirelessly on laptop
played a few games on DS (wireless)
browsed a few pages on Wii (wireless)

Problem was that the DS would loose connection regularly during gaming (Mario Kart and Tetris multiplayer)

I felt it was too much effort going through connection setup - will rather get a new router where I can put the sim into router directly
