Obsessions

mine is like an addiction - I cant stop drinking Monster and obsessed with security, wife says im paranoid

Making cakes and desserts. I'm pretty good at it, in a home made sort of way.

My husband is not a fan of sweet things, so everything usually goes to my colleagues and nanny.

I used to be obsessed with my sound - I had about 5 sets of speakers, many different cables, different DVD players, fancy CD playrs DACs, different amps, sources, speaker positions ....

Tools and gadgets for the garage, even if I never use them I want them and more. But gou gou leen se moer.

furk me .....i hate when there is tennis, F1, cricket, rugby and soccer all during the same weekend ...

oh and golf

why? that's like heaven :D

I even play my outings with the GF so that I don't miss an important match. Specifically LFC.

I have a new one every few weeks. During the honeymoon phase I read all I can about the topic and try to become and overnight expert. This is then followed by spending a fortune on kit relating to the obsession (hiking, audio, photographic, fitness etc. gear).

Things calm down a bit when I see how much the obsession is costing, and then I move on to something new. People complain that this makes it very difficult to buy presents for me, because either they don't know what my latest obsession is, or they do but can't get me anything because I already have everything that isn't insanely expensive.

You are basically describing my husband. People like this are impossible. I don't even listen when he talks any more, and when he steps into the hobby/ specialist shop, I just walk away.

Right now he is into remote controlled cars. He needs to build it from scratch, otherwise he is not interested. I freaked out when I heard how much the kits cost.

At the moment cooking. The kitchen is about the only place I can get away from everything. In the past it was fishing.

Bwahahaha... Spot on besides the fact that I've not forced myself not to spend money!

I amass information use it and move along. Most times now it's just a lot of research due to the whole not wanting to waste cash!

Obsessed with work and vehicles (cars and bikes). I can't help myself. I browse Gumtree and BidorBuy auctions (eBay when I'm abroad) and I buy at a whim. When I'm drunk it's especially bad. My fiancee gives me an evil look when I'm jumping on the laptop drunk as a skunk. NOT GOOD.
