Hi Everyone
Being on a low budget and after hearing it was just a great OC on a post at your forum, i went for intel dual core e2160 , along with a gigabyte 945gcmx-s2 rev6.6 , and 1gb of kingston value ddr2 667 value ram , i also got a geforce 7600gs
now , after reading all your posted faqs and guides , i started the OC trip of my new system , sadly to discover i can only reach 250*9 (2250mhz) before my system refuses to boot at all , i tried everything , even the software easy tune 5 which came with the mobo , and it all comes to this .. at 2250mhz it is fine , any where after that the system freezes and refuses to boot , i have already lowered the memory multiplier to 2 (500mhz) , and i tried enabling 1333 oc option in bios but that doesnt solve it either , iam kinda bunbed here cuz all results othe people got with this chip is much higher than mine ..someone with the same mobo posted here with very high speeds.. can anyone please help me?
thank you

I read that 2 identical pcs will not necessarily give the same results when over clocking. What's your cooling like?

Edit: Welcome to the forum:)

i tried increasing the cpu voltage didnt work
iam operating the ram at 5xx (lower than rated) so no need for OV
iam pretty sure it is the fsb limit .. the 1333 oc option in the bios wont enable without failing to boot

what speed your ram timing on?

mine 5 5 5 -13 this can effect your overclock alot

play with the timings

your bios limit is 350 right? whats your cpu temp and what cooling do you have for your north bridge?
