Thinking of getting one this Black Friday. Anyone here have one?
 
My buddy just got his delivered today, I will let you know what he says. Hopefully get my hands on it too. Also plan on ordering one next year.
 
I was looking at getting one, had a look, if amazons prices are anything to go by it will cost roughly R7500 for the 64 GB version to ship to SA.

This looks really cool. Would be great to have something like this that works on its own, but could also be used with Oculus Link for Steam VR.
 
It's the best thing I've ever bought.
Small note about Amazon, there must be some kind of bug inflating the import cost when you just add the Quest2
For example add this $10 cable to your order with Quest2:

It will now cost R6700 to get it from Amazon to your door instead of R7700

I got mine with the Elite strap ($50) and it's pretty damn comfortable. The only problem is that they have temporarily stopped selling the elite strap, because there appears to have been a bad batch or two.

The elite strap seems to be quite able to take significant punishment if it was part of the good batch, but the one from the bad batch just rips apart without much effort.

So it might be worth waiting for Facebook to sort out that issue, before taking the dive.
 
Screen door effect is basically gone, the text is clear, movies look great, better than Valve Index. Sideloading is addictive, can like play Call of Duty Mobile or emulate Wii games at 60fps.

You get to play the best Zombie game ever (Saints and sinners):

Classics like Superhot/Beat Saber/Pistol whip just looks sharp/Clear now.
Controllers are top notch, looks like it's going to take weeks before I need to change/recharge the batteries.

You can up the resolution even more with Link, hopefully it'll be automatic in the future.
Virtual desktop wireless streaming is now amazing, think I'm a cable away from having a perfect wireless set up.
A wifi 6 router will up the image quality you can stream even more.

Thanks for the tip on the import cost. Just waiting for them to put the strap back up for sale. And hopefully the R/$ exchange is even better at that stage.

They might of fixed it now though. Adding just the 256GB version works out around 7,889.83

I got mine a week ago... oh my word, what an experience! I'd never really experienced VR before aside from some mobile headset style VR and having done a rollercoaster - type VR at a mall a while back. This thing is life changing... Best tech \ gadget I've bought in YEARS...
