Does anyone have any suggestions for turning a scan of a printed doc (not hand writing) into a word document?

I have about 5 pages of a document (all text, no images) that I want to scan into word so I can edit and use.

You can try FreeOCR...

but ABBYY FineReader is the absolute best by far! It's not free though!

Google them.

If you are using a HP scanner it comes with that feature

ms office includes an ocr component, look under office tools, document imaging or document scanning
