Hi folks

MyADSL has continued to grow during October, with a significant increase in specifically unique monthly visitors. Thanks for your support of MyBroadband.co.za and for making this such a vibrant place to hang out.

The latest MyADSL (MyBroadband.co.za domain) Google Analytics stats are as follows:

Unique monthly visitors: 218,756 (65% South African)
Pageviews during October: 1,665,451

Please note that these statistics only include traffic for the domain mybroadband.co.za, and hence excludes the Blogs, Download and Podcast sites. These will however soon be incorporated in the main site.

An interesting statistic is the provincial break down of local traffic:

Gauteng: 60.54 %
Western Cape: 29.10%
Kwazulu-Natal: 6.96 %
Eastern Cape: 2.75%
North West: 1.54%
Mpumalanga: 0.36%
Free-state: 0.32%
Limpopo: 0.17%
Northern Cape: 0.10%
(Unknown: 0.82%)

Another interesting fact is that, according to Alexa, MyBroadband.co.za is currently the second fastest growing website in South Africa. The fastest growing site is [damn] Google SA :D More details here: http://www.alexaradar.com/fast/country/za

Perhaps Google gets these extra hits because it is many people's Homepage when they open up their browser?
If you use google.com in South Africa it automatically redirects you to google.co.za :)

Personally I just use blank as my homepage so my browser can open quicker.

Everyone that doesn't use Firefox [with NoScript] or Opera, should stop using Internet Exploder with immediate effect

Wont blocking the site in Privacy and not allowing third party cookies have the same affect?

which is the same for pretty much any cookie these days

Fantastic news rpm, and fantastic stats given internet prices and practices in SA.

Second in SA! Google....well now, that's just a whole other league.

Not bad for us "small minority of disgruntled users".
