Youre a little short there for a pure sinewave inverter new.

A 2 kva inverter (corrected but pc safe) with two 100 a/h batteries goes for about R7500.

A pure inverter will cost you more than R10k without any batteries.

If youre looking for second hand, well that's a bit of Russian roulette when it comes to batteries there.
