Where can I get OCZ Vertex 450 250Gb SSD drive? None of the suppliers ever seem to have stock of this SSD drive?

Mostly because OCZ is bankrupt. I believe OCZ is owned by Toshiba now. Why not get a Samsung SSD rather?

It's been replaced by the Vertex 460, which is actually a decent drive and a good performer. They're not trying to sell you SSDs that have a chance to start a small fire anymore now that they're owned by Toshiba.
Other options are the Crucial MX100/M500 (Marvell controller), Samsung 840 Evo (Samsung), Kingston Hyper-X (Marvell), ADATA SP610 (Silicon Motion), OCZ Arc (Barefoot 3) or Corsair LX (Silicon Motion). Intel's 530 is also a fantastic drive and the SSD Toolbox software is good, but it's often too pricey.

I have a Dell XPS 17 (L702X) and it has 2 500Gb Sata drives. The main OS drive is really going slow and playing SWOTR on it is becoming very annoying because of the long loading times. I was thinking of replacing the main Sata drive with SSD drive to improve loading times. I have never had a SSD drive before so don't have much experience with them. Just from what I hear that OCZ was always the preferred SSD drive for gaming machines. Was Samsung drives not bought out by Seagate a while ago ? I have also heard Corsair is good?
