Odd issue in Apple Health

In the Health app under sources i have a item labeled Heart Rate (icon image is the Apple lost link icon) when clicking on it it gives me a message that "This app is no longer installed" while all fine and dandy, I cant seem to delete/remove it?

It's from an old app, uninstalled but the data was not removed. As far I know you can't remove it because the data is still in the Health App.
My thinking: reinstall the app, then uninstall it and choose the "remove data" option.
