So we have 2 branches in different locations linked via a VPN.
Branch B connects over VPN to branch A (Head office) using remote desktop, Server here is running 2008 R2 and has all correct drivers installed.

When we connected in remote desktop we need to print to our local multifunction printers, 2 printers work fine, 1 printer a Ricoh MPC4000 refuses to allow print jobs to go through.

I have found out if I try connecting to the printer via its dedicated ip , it asks for User Authentication?
The other printers don't ask for Authentication so allow staff to print.

We can also print to the Ricoh on our local lan fine so seems it is denying access from branch A 172.16.40.* subnet.

Any ideas?

Has the firmware been update?
Some models have print issues(local LAN even) without firmware update...
(not saying it is def this, but it is very likely.)

Waiting for Canon to come around and check, just thought there should be an easier route.
