Just received an email from Microsoft saying that they are increasing the Office 365 annual subscription from R1 199 to R1 399 per year effective 19 February 2020. That's an increase of 16,7%!!! Typical Microsoft, suck you in with an attractive deal and then when you are hooked they up the price drastically - how do we stop this?

That is steep. I pay R190 per month excl VAT. R218.50 incl. I get licences for 5 machines. I make my living off MS Products and use all of them plus the extras you get with the Business Premium (E3) package. It is worth it for me. But given that price - perhaps I should pay annually instead. Edit: Nope - pretty much being sold for more or less what I am paying.
But now that I am moving into Azure and paid versions of PowerBI and Power Apps - I am sure it is going to start to hurt.

Been on Office365 since May 2016 and had one, maybe two increases in since then and thats on monthly.

And really a R200 increase for a years subscription is nothing.

Vote with your wallet...

Still will pay. Cos, where else can you get 6TB of online space for that price?

Stop paying, and buy an el-cheapo 'illegal' cheap key
And make the following assumption true

I am a firm believer of running legal software. It is someone's intellectual property and they deserve to be rewarded if it is good.
I would not like people to take what I create and use it for their own ends.

I have a different religion. I only pay for software that does not come from Microshaft.
