Office lunchtime aromas

Do you eat at your desk if your food is aromatic? Nobody else in my department seems to eat anything other than sandwiches and salads so I'm the only bringing any food smells into the office.

Whats the usual vibe in open plan offices? In all previous jobs we would go out for lunch, but with this company a) there is nothing in the area so we all rely on the company canteen downstairs, b) your time is monitored if you 'tap' out of the building (even for a smoke) & c) it's a 23 story building so the time it takes to get in and out is infuriating (hence, desk eating being the most viable option).

WE have a Bar/TV room for lunch, the things some guys bring for food smells nasty, apparently one guy brought a smiley to work once....he was chased out by other lunch goers.

I take my lunch after everyone else these days.

I hate those okes that make me hungry with the leka aromas! On the other hand, whens its me eating, I don't mind the smell!
