Yeah, but there is a command for it. /cg_maxfps=0 for "unlimited" and vsync has to be turned off.
 
Prestige 15 level 50 in 8 days and some hours and stuff - all perks pro except ninja (very easy to achieve which was why I left it for last and marathon -getting bloody CTF servers are hard and capturing flags harder still :p - but I am on 14 so will get there soon)

LoL, I've almost completed of of my "life time" challenges. Getting 4th gold gun most probably today, but the game isn't that much fun to play anymore, since I don't get xp anymore. :p
 
I have completed 4 of those. Don't care too much about them - enough to keep on buying contracts though :o

I must say the 0 xp after every match is disconcerting.

And so far the HC 'last stand' hasn't bothered me too much. I'll soon switch over to HC only play. What a relief.

I am still having fun and will continue to play for a while longer I believe.

I had to laugh the other day - servers have these funny and silly rules - no this weapon allowed, no this perk and I even had a "no running with ballistic" thrown at me but the first time two days ago I got into a "no crossing this line" - I had to lol after the wtf :p

Yeah, shame it gives the admins a sense of importance. Ag on Nuketown you should be able to do what you want, everyones there for XP only.
I been playing SnD more and more, and due to this I haven't prestiged in about 2 weeks, lol.
 
On the low levels you can play S&D and get enough xp to level, but past level30, I would say, hit that NukeTown with a force. ;)

Last Chance tho is another thing all together. It is a flawed perk, and should not be in the game. I support all Admins / Servers who are banning it.

My mission is to prestige tonight. No matter what..I got a 4 pack of redbull waiting at home, DVD for my chick, Huey/dogs/hardline combo setup, and my sights firmly set on a noob nuketown server.

On soft core, it really isn't and the only way, aside form tubing,that some n00bies have for getting in a few kills :) - On HC I'll reserve judgment but I have noticed that shooting a person from behind or the side, doesn't insta turn the Last Stander to face you? Then they are easy to kill - not 100% on this but that is the feeling I got.

That being said, Last Stand is the least likely perk I'll ever use and imo the least useful of all other tier 3 perks.

7/8 (the one after the 2 fists) So yes.. loooong way to go. I've seen one or two guys who haven't prestiged at all and they have definitely got more hours than me. Now thats self control.. and also really boring.
 
Some people don't feel the need to prestige... It certainly doesn't make you a better player...I think that I might be one that doesn't prestige in the next CoD instalment... A lot of frustration... The problem is the spacing of the guns. That was the most irritating for me. My favourite gun is the AK47... All the way up at level 38... With the Famas and aug not being allowed in NGL I battled with the enfield and galil untill I got there... Gold camo is cool, but isn't gonna make you a better player... And some of the prestige emblems look silly in my opinion...
 
altho it kinda does, playing to prestige 14 u actuly learn how to shoot.

Gold guns are for e-peen players who have way too much time on their hands. I haven't prestiged at all and I generally come top 3 in FFA, smoking more than a few gold gun players getting there.

Also, when you kill someone with your gold gun, you know they are going to watch the replay and wish they had a gold gun as well. ;) Galil is pretty cool, lately I have only been playing with it and the sniper. :)
 
@sharkbait - very true man. Some guys only learn how to aim at prestige 14 :p

@zolly - do I sense a bit of envy? I know when I saw the guys with the skull in mw2 I was irritable...
Some of the guys with gold guns aren't used to playing with noobs... I played a ffa earlier today and couldn't do better than 2nd on most maps since okes were playing with launchers and stupid perks... I'm used to playing barebones... Come top there and then we're talking... Campers will always be a part of this game unfortunately...
 
Lol dude, not at all. Like I said, if e-peen is your thing then go gold. Doesn't make my bullets any less effective.

I was playing bb earlier and there was a guy who came first with 300 ping. I couldn't really tell if he was cheating and wasn't too bothered to check out the replays since it was only a 2 kill difference. If he wasn't then he must have been pretty damn awesome!
