Official Black Ops Discussion Thread

So my new clan (same team) Unity [oNe] played against Pew last night. We played WMD and Radiation. And we won 13-3, 13-10. I am super stoked about that. We are looking for 2/3 cpt based players who are committed to playing for the win in the Premier League. If you're interested, speak to me, DoA or BackStabbeR.

I hope the new map pack is released soon, its the only way il be able to continue playing for prestige 15 think im on eleven, four maps dont go very far and kinda bored with the last ones, only bad thing i noticed was that some of the new maps in the new dlc look similar to some of the maps from modern warfare, zoo looks a bit like the funfair, and hotel looks a bit like the opposing buildings in that high rise roof map, what im looking forward to is the elevators and the lock down doors on yet another snowy russian missile silo, im surprised they havent introduced more features, snowmobiles, or a snowboard to shunt around on, maybe some swing grappling hooks for jungle would be cool. oh and bigger maps.

I use a gig every day and a half playing black ops ... so ja, the costs are adding up. On to my 4th gig with Afrihost this week :(

My BlackTomato can use anything up to 20mb an hour plus the wife shares the connection and plays BLOPS too....

Easy man!!! I admin 1 sometimes 2 servers (the tool resides on my PC) 24hrs a day. They can use almost up to 50mb an hour together.... Thats why uncapped it does not matter, but with having to pay for each gig ... not nice!

"help" i dont know if u where a fan of pokemon, but i felt like magicarp.fish out of the water.
heh or u know when ur doing group activities and u space out when they give instuctions.
i was so confused and out of place. im gona say i played scout, spotting the enemys ;)

but ja im gona look into getting new pc the weakend.... again. apperently my quad core 4g ram and 275gtx not good enough.
im getting 40fps and i jitter/spas when i get shot at.

Lol. Don't have a clue about pokemon. Point is, if you weren't there, we would have battled even more because 4v5 is problematic. One less person makes a difference. And Pew is a good team!

If you running ddr2 ram, that may be the problem. A friend of mine had issues untill he upgraded to ddr3. The 275 should be fine because I know guys running 265's without any real issues. The game uses a lot of resources though. So the quad core is necessary. I get fps lag, but it is because of the amd issue. Amd's don't seem to play this game as well as the intel's for whatever reason
 
I upgraded my PC but not my GPU (GTX280 - which is very similar in performance to the GTX275)... I average about 70-90fps with that.... was considering the GTX580, but I'm saving for an OCZ Vertex 3 !!! yeah baby!!!

is there a big deference between i3 and quad core?

the part that blows, is 1 week ago i had no lag 70-90fps.
im amazed how the keep breaking the game.
at 1 point my core2due, 3g ram,8800gt ram was running the game with no lag.

Ek dag jy het al klaar ge-upgrade na SB. :erm: Anyway, kry I3 530/540 en OC die k@k uit die ding. Gebruik nog jou huidige kaart. Dan sal jy fine wees. :) Maar as jy 'n C2Q @ 4Ghz het, weet ek nie wat jou probleem is nie... :confused:
 
my quad core is maar 2,5 ghz. en dit was my upgrade, maar dit betel nu kokol, dai nuwe patch het my lelik gelooi.
ekit 2 maand murse leker gespeel. ons team het murse goed geraak, nu lag ons almal en sukel ons mur af.

hoop maar daar kom gu n nuwe patch..

Ek hoop maar jou spelling is ook in sy moer in, anners gaan dinge maar bra sleg waar jou vingers woorde maak...
 
ja sal maar weer skool toe moet gaan, anners gaan ek gereeld fail op interweb forums waar dit so baie saak maak.
 
This game seems to have improved for me since the last patch. I don't get as many disconnects when going into the server.
I was running a mod config on low graphics and getting 45 - 55 fps before the patch, now after the patch I'm getting 55 - 65 fps on normal config and almost full graphics.

This game is very erratic on how it performs for different people.
 
Sjoe, had a nice clannie against DoG yesterday - was good fun, thanks G!

I think I saw enough to judge who our premier 5 will be, but we still need LOTS of practice. It took us a while to get going, but once on the roll we seem to do okay. :)

I had a blast ! I finally have a pool of pretty good players to pick from myself! Takes sum getting used to those NGL rules !! We must do it again soon, also must organize with Tonna and the =Q= guys. Next time my top player will hopefully be in!

We played against Dbi the other day, was our first ever NGL rules game.... we FAILED so badly ;)

Yeah, we will arrange. Our's was also out for the second match, but we can arrange again - maybe in a week or so, just want to get some tactics under the belt... :)
