I'm now in the process of migrating my Telkom ADSL rental to MWEB 384 uncapped. I'm doing my share to force better ISP competition by giving more power to MWEB. Woohoo!
 
I cant stop singing the multiplayer menu music, made a ringtone :), (Limited to 30 secs of fraps) gotta get entire loop i must try join your server for a game when theres a gap

I'd be humming along with it subconsciously, bringing out that mean, evil eye of my mrs, which usually spells doom.

You should listen to the sound track in the single player. Pretty good.
 
some fixes i used were:

A) in the console (~) type : /stoprecord (this made the biggest difference)

B) ctrl alt del while in game, in task manager set black ops to LOW PRIORITY (sounds silly but works)

C) in console (~) type: /rate 3000, /snaps 30

there are loads more but those are the ones that have mad the most difference

Not silly at all. The game was designed for consoles which uses the CPU a lot. With the PC, a GPU is available. The game is not taking advantage on the GPU. The CPU is being used again, hence everyone stuttering....

Somehow setting it to LOW PRIORITY maybe utilizes the CPU less

Fail coding and QA Testing! :p
 
But then the game should be running better on an I7 system than on a C2D system...

I can believe the record thing makes the biggest difference, but I assume you won't be able to view the match then afterwards...
 
Yeah, it seems to be the norm lately with game developers developing for consoles and then porting and re-coding/fixing it for PC
 
According to reports, about 1 million copies on console and 100k on PC, on release. From this it should be clear why we're getting shagged.

Is that including downloads? I would have thought it would be the other way around.
 
xbox live is huge in the US. Playstation is big in Japan... :)

PC is outweighed by the console at this time. Also, you don't have to upgrade your console every two years or so... :(

You don't have to upgrade your pc every 2 years as well. ;) CUD is evil.
 
Allow me to rephrase...

Poor people have to upgrade their PC's every two years... :) Mind you I am going I7 next year, so hopefully that will set me straight for at least three/four years...

I just ordered my logitech G9x :D

But yeah, been thinking about consoles for some time, only thing is there is no skill in aim assist which everyone uses... So now the guys are easier to hit and its possible (in mw2) to do a '360 unscoped' headshot with an intervention. Hello? Realistic much...

Anyway, consoles are awesome for rpg's, racing simulators etc, Not FPS...

That's my rant over... Thanks for listening guys :p
 
lol @ Slaughter !! But true to a degree... buy big once and save for 3-4 yrs for the next big upgrade. I bought the q6600 as soon as it hit the SA market, still got it and it still rocks very nicely @3.0ghz. I came from an AMD64 3000+ to the quad .... was like wow! Only thing I changed between in the last few years was GPU, sold my 8800GT and bought a GTX280 about 2 yrs ago....

EDIT: Oh yeah and LCD display, went from 19" to a 23" Sammy... (that 27" is looking mighty temptin @ PC Zone - R2499 for the P2770H)
