Official Black Ops Discussion Thread

My game is very stuttery. I played on Slayer's PC and it runs as smooth as a baby's bum. I also take forever to get into a game. By the time I get into the game some guys have 3 kills already... EXTREMELY frustrating. I have no idea what the cause might be although I am suspecting CPU. I am considering doing a low level format on my HD just to make sure that I don't have residual traces of that virus I had on there. I did a clean install, but since then the PC feels sluggish...

Other than that I also get quite a lot of DC's since Friday, but nothing too serious. You should have jammed with us last night, it was lekker. We played a couple of rounds of S&D - quite good.
 
LOL @ that vid!! :)

I would seriously kick that fool.. I suppose that is the drawback of non-hardcore games.

Maybe I might join you guys tonight. Be warned though! I am sniping or attempting too :p I pulled of some awesome shots this weekend(all luck though lol) I am on prestige 5 level 33 I think at the moment.

Think I played with you last night - ROS servers. SnD was fun, had one sweet run killed like 7 ous.

a Friend of mine has almost the same spec pc than me, except, he has 9gigs of ram and xfire 5770. He also has 2x 500GB in RAID 0, instead of an SSD and his game also took a while to load the maps. I have moved his page file to one of his other drives and made it static. Seems better, but still takes long. Maybe I am just to used to my game loading in a mere couple of seconds. ;)
 
Oh Yeah, Was using the AlterRcon tool for my server... it works quite well, but there is no proper guide yet for it (still being written) so It gets a bit frustrating some times... http://forums.gameservers.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=42080

So I switched to RconMax BO last night http://www.rconmax.co.uk/smf/index.php?board=41.0 it is a lot neater and very well documented....

One thing I have noticed is that Gameservers.com is extremely slow, it timed out so many times last night with me, unable to retrieve logs etc ... I wonder how much of that plays into our lag and disconnect issues??

Yeah, remember you. It was fun! Join us again. We will mosh it a bit more often now. In some game modes you get XP quicker than others. Everyone is on this prestige trip so the quicker we can get through it the better. I am on Prestige 6 level 38 now. 15 can't come quick enough!!!!

Have you seen the new Sandy Bridge processors? The i7 2600K kicks some serious ass man! Even outclasses the i7 980X!!!
 
Just a question :D.. I only got to Prestige level one now.. LOL :wtf:... Just want to know :

1. How much Prestige levels are there?:eek:
2. Does it all start with the default guns LOL :erm:
3. And Does your money always goes away after you reach a Prestige level :D

3. Yes

Also, people are under the incorrect impression that you get additional guns after prestige level 10, not true. You start getting other stuff like gold cammo for your weapons etc.

my pc was running fine 3 weeks ago. 70-90 fps.
went on holiday, and now running at 40-50fps.
how does this game get worse?

Quite similar here, game is now freezing for a few seconds, which it never did.......

but what can we do...... just sit and wait for them to fix it or move on.

problem is NGL starts soon. playing with handicap.... mmm challenge accepted!!
 
I wish we could move on... Where to??? Next CoD game is in november maybe...

Crysis 2 could be it? Might have to sell my car to upgrade my rig to play it though.
