its closer to softcore with nancys chance, that map will always have spawn issues coz its too small, they need to make there maps bigger and incoroprate different spawn areas like in MOH maybe?
 
I agree and don't agree Makarov - there were some small maps in MW2 as well and there were NONE of these issues, the only time something like this happened was when you played FFA on Rust with 18 people... :)
The issues with Nuketown is that it spawns you and an enemy right next to each other... That is their spawning that is broken.

It was also much easier to identify teammies.

It's hard for the game to choose a safe spawn when the enemy is scattered all over the map. No way around it. If an opposing team player is camping in each of the different spawns then what?

TDM on nuketown is a fail combination though, and shouldn't be in rotation. I have no isssues with spawning on any other maps.
 
I've had some pretty bad spawns on Nuketown but last night was the worst one ... I spawned microseconds ahead of the other guys... they all just popped up around me... so I sprayed & prayed ;) Killing two Teamies who basically took two steps and died... Soz!! They weren't there when I opened fire, they spawned into my line of fire:(
 
Also had a guy give me *** yesterday cause I spawn raped him on Hanoi. I was minding my own business past the search light and saw this guy running - what should I do? Give him a warning shot? I didn't know he just spawned.... :)
 
I tell you and I tell you truly - people who moan about spawn rape, are worse than spawn rapers. People who moan about campers, are worse than campers. People who moan about n00b tubes and n00b guns, are worse than n00b tubers and normal everyday gun users...

I think you all get the picture :D
 
I must admit ... I moan about last stand. I hate it, its the worst perk they could have ever invented. Even the game developers have considered removing it, the code behind the perk is rubbish. You cant kill a last chance player for 0.5 seconds when he goes down. So he promptly kills you with a pistol, usually with 1 shot :(
 
I've been playing quite a bit of HC lately, and while last stand can get a bit annoying, once they fix the scoring of it like they have on consoles, I personally don't see the problem. The last stand animation is really easy to spot and once you do you just keep on firing on their way down.

I maybe die 20% of the time I drop people with last stand. The rest of the time I just put a few shots into them on the way down.

Yeah same, easy to deal with. Same as campers, if a guy camps it just makes it easier to kill him once I've spawned... camp kill me once, shame on you, camp kill me twice, shame on me...

I'll admit that I have hardly been playing HC for a while now - and in softcore it really isn't a problem. I hardly ever get killed by last stand. (guess when I finally do that perk pro after prest 15 I'll be doing it in HC :) - forgive em in advance) but I'll take your word for it.

Truly I cringe when I get shot with a n00b tube or some camper in some arbitrarily corner of a map where you least expect them - but the most I would say is "wow". I guess I hate the whole argument that gets flung back and forth in every damn game. Shouting "camper!" is NEVER going to change behavior, not in that game and not overall.

It is part of the game - I lol at the guys who rage and swear and argue and want to ask them why they are playing a game if it so pisses them off. But that would just set us down another road so I stick to gg or sorry (for tk's) for the most part.
 
I wanted to ban last chance completely on my server ... but in reality you can't. Its a default perk for your first 10 levels, Not much you can do about it :( I don't mind tubing and camping at all. I think thats because I know how to camp myself, so theres no real hiding places for campers... I find if you place yourself in the middle of a map, with your back to a wall (but not to close, cause you can clip through the wall making you an easy target) you can camp nicely for 3 maybe 4 kills. Any longer than that is doff. You will be nailed! You have to camp, move, camp, move... even if its just by a few meters, you can catch the guy you last killed looking for you in your spot u just moved from. As for tubers... really not that many around to complain about... BTW I love my claymores... have them in every class ... magic little buggers!

I hate you in advanced. ;) Don't think I have played against you and since I don't need the XP anymore, you won't find me on a non-S&D server. So yeah, I won't be moaning about the spawn raping anymore.

That is just evil.

There are lots of permutations and quirks to this game. Over all - since the first frustrations with the lag and occasional steam issues - I am loving it. I want to finish the 15th prestige, get all my pros and then settle down on a couple of HC servers.

Sounds like just last stand gets you down - which is a pity as I do see quite a few using it.

Here is how I'd rate perk 3 list :
  • Ninja
  • Marathon
  • Hacker
  • Tactical Mask
  • Second Chance
I don't see why people use it :)

I have played against you - I distinctly remember being pwned - unless there is another player called sharkbait, but I'll hardly play S&D so we won't see a lot of each other, never fear :p
 
I used to use ninja on all my classes ... but not once on my current prestige. I use Hacker, quite like it. Also Marathon. I basically have a rocket launcher on all my classes, except on my sniper class... Try nail hellis as fast as possible.

I would love you on my team - no heli can *ever* be a problem if everyone hears "Enemy heuy / hind incoming", rips out rocket launchers and let fly - that bastard can't get even one kill, I kid you not!
 
Someone last night got a chopper gunner on Nuketown, seriously fubar'd me six love... was spawn - die for like a full two minutes.... didn't even get a chance to pull the rocket launcher off my back :(

dammit ... lis to go play now ....

So keen for a dog/huey combo on nuketown. Dogs for the initial guys in the house, then huey from then on.

Yeah, the idea is to shoot it down before it becomes such a problem. These are things that one learns quite quickly. I don't see why it is still a problem and yet it is... it so is.

Which makes me think about two nights ago I played a nice round - I save *all* my round one and round two streaks for that final round (well unless I see we are defiantly going to win round two or loose it when we are one down) and this is something I picked up by observing others. "How did that guy get so many streaks? aha, must not have used it" - and I am throwing crates left right and center to get to my mortars and napalm and this bloke creeps up to me, looks me in the eye (his little avatar actually bend down and came to sit before me) and types "Nice glitch" - I lol'ed :D
