Official COD MW3 Thread.

Hehehe, if the ranking system is going to work, like they say it is, then I won't be levelling as well. :(

why is it that there is always, just something with the last COD titles......

Activision are money grabbing whores :p and its not possible to deliver a new game every 2 years without taking shortcuts and cutting out features etc. which is why MW2 and MW3 are arguable a console port. Treyarch delivered every thing in 2 years with Black Ops. it just didn't work well on many PC's like mines for example....

Have you upgraded Kyubs? Will be nice to see the sPa guys back in action. I see one or two of them online every now and then, but nothing like MW2... :(

My C2D should be able to run MW3. I will upgrade next year sometime. I am waiting for the ivy bridge. We all had issues with Black Ops :( and I had a busy year with studies etc. We are all getting BF3 and MW3. Fun times ahead :D

Wait wait wait!!! Are you guys saying that if I want to level up I have to connect to iwnet and play via p2p again?

If that is the case, then I guess I'll wait and see what the general consensus is once guys have played the game for a few weeks... Not going to do that again if I don't have to.

@ Spyk3r
Yes, have exactly the same feeling. I see the guys are playing BF3 already (unfair), so getting that first, and then gonna wait and see what happens with COD

The lobby system might be a bit k@k but what I think was nice about sitting in a lobby was the whole social aspect that is missing in BOPS.
Sometimes it was more fun chatting before the game than the actual gameplay itself.
In the end most om the casual gamers found this more of a social get together than an all out fight to be the top guy or get the most kills.
In the end gaming is supposed to be more of a form of relaxtion, thats why i am not really that pissed about the p2p system, it has its drawbacks but also some good points.
What makes the dedi's a plus is that guys like NAG can get the clan matches going & that it will be better structured than in MW2.
Perhaps we should look at it as a glass full type of thing. I am amped for the game & more amped for the social aspect that existed in MW2.

Valid point Neo. I have already bought the game, so there is no backing out. Will just have to make the best of it. Luckily I have a much better internet connection now, than what I had with MW2, so maybe it won't be so bad after all...

The only think I don't look forward to, is the waiting for a game. :(

@Shark - hehehe... Amobia ftw hey :D

Anyway, time will tell, but I think we may see the ranked 'servers' being empty and the unranked ones being full of promod rule dedi's. I for one will be playing the unranked if the other option is to play p2p...

I played mw2 the other day, and it was fun, but waiting a second to see your nade flying out of your hand is not nearly as responsive as the dedicated servers... I would prefer to continue playing black ops if that is the case...

that is soooo k@k!!

Lol!

Its the same as taking a shot with the intervention. You hear the gun go off, and then you continue running and the next thing there is a ping! Headshot!!!

Similar to when you get shot, you're convinced that you started shooting first, but the other guy gets you! Then you press tab and see his ping bars on 10. Aaah yes. Host advantage... I remember having to play clannies against guys based in jhb and their host would almost always get the better of me, but the rest of the team I could take out with relative ease.

Sigh. As I said before. Time will tell

apart from the social aspect of p2p hosting..it also brings back noobtube..
hell yeah ive got 20 guns to complete challenges and no 1 can kick me :)

There is a fine line between noobtubing & using a grenade launcher tactically.
I usually take out the tube/rpg/launcher as soon as I stumble across a camper. There is nothing better clearing a room or placing a tube between two claymores.
Sometimes you just need to use it & then use it like a pro :)
