My team certainly deserves to be at the bottom of the log. Not nice but it happens. And with a 6 team Currie Cup tournament it is always going to be a hard one to swallow for one big team.

Despite the loss last night, Lions coach Johan Ackermann was still full of smiles at the post match. Only concern is the injury to Lionel Mapoe. Looks like he will be out for a long time with a knee injury. Deon van Rensburg also injured. Will know the extent of the injury on Monday.

Tried to ask about Jantjies but we were not allowed to touch on the subject. The way he played last night I doubt any team would want him anyway. :p

The bulls looked a lot better with ball in hand. No idea why they do not play that brand of rugby more often.

Both the Bulls and WP played better rugby with the Boks back. In many ways I feel for the likes of the Griquas who played out their socks for a semi and should got it based on the seasons' performances.

Very interesting video. Sometimes the Lions want to run too much and then they start making all these mistakes. Going to be 2 tough semi finals. My prediction Sharks and Lions in final (hopefully)

My dream final. I would love to watch this in Durban if I can get a ticket.

How does this work? Is it based on the points difference after the two games?

Best of luck to both teams.

What is the story with the lad? I think I missed something there? :o

There is some discrepancy between reports in the media (that he is going to the Stormers) and other sources who say that he is actually going to the Sharks. According to page 17 of this thread. Check it out.

Makes more sense for him to go to the Stormers - which could be why the media has assumed so already. :)

It is basically a "mini-league" with the team with the most points being the victor.

Points breakdown:
*4 points for a win
*2 points for a draw
*1 bonus point for a loss by seven points or less
*1 bonus point for scoring four or more tries in a match

I noticed last night that Jantjies has a tendency to stop/brake before passing. Has he always done this?

Wrt Steyn's kicking, I want to repeat something that may have been said and I have been hammering on about this elsewhere. Louis Koen seems to be the problem when it comes to the Springbok team's kicking woes. All our kickers have suffered under him and I hope Meyer will be wise enough to see the problem and take action before the year end tour.

I also thought that it was weird that F Steyn, M Steyn, R Pienaar and Goosen kicked a lower success ratio in the Green and Gold than in the months before they were called up. Altough M Steyn did not have a brilliant Super series with the boot.

The Semis are going to be great. I think the Lions vs WP game might just be the more exciting game, but theat being said, the bull and mostly the sharks can play great running rugby if they so choose.

WP to klap the Lions this weekend. The Sharks vs Bulls game is 50/50, although most people think that this game is a formality. The Bulls always rise to the occasion vs the Sharks and know how to beat them. Will put my head on the block and say that the Bulls will sneak it. which makes for an exiting final at Newlands where WP will give the pink bulletjies a moerse klap.

:(

Bekker seems to be as bad as JdV with the injuries (granted Jean has held up very well lately).

At least for the Boks end of year tour we have Kruger, Eben and Flip (who started to play like a human and not a tool).

See my above post..... Jdv out for the WP.

Chances of a Lions vs Blue Bulls final at Ellis Park starting to look good...

I have it as Lions and Sharks to sneak it.

TBH I'm dreading the weekend as the Bulls are our bogey side when it comes to semi-finals and finals AT the Shark Tank.

Yeah, agree. But really hoping that the Sharks have rhythm and momentum on their side?
