United and Real Sociedad didn't go as planned, but Sunderland's relegation had been a long time coming. Moyes had no money to spend when he was there and have you seen where they are right now? Second from bottom in the Championship with 1 win, joint worst defence in the league, £110 million in debt, an owner (source of their problems) that wants out and they've become favourites for a double-dip relegation.

There was a point last season where people said Sunderland minus Jordan Pickford and Jermaine de Foe wouldn't be good enough for the Championship. They were right, as the squad aside from those two has remained largely intact in terms of its core and there they are, plowing the depths of the second tier.

half time it was 0-0 and after that Everton came out fighting...but no defence...

these guys need to learn to work together.
