Dude the obs store is utter uselessness!!! the one in the waterfront is the nicest even the canal walk ones are filled
with idiots! number is above!

Just called the Waterfront number ^.
The guy said that its on special order and i will get the phone in the week."They have to order it in"
 
Oi. :o I'm trying to search this thread for the keywords "buy" and "cash" but it's saying the keywords are too short or too common.

So, without having to read all 70 pages of this thread can anyone tell me if they bought the HTC one on cash or prepaid. And if so, where and how much? :)

Your help in this regard is highly appreciated. :p

yep the have to order it, i placed my order the weekend and was told it should come by mid week

Well phoned MTN waterfront,spoke to Leonardo..very helpful !Gave him my whole story about how clueless our store is and they have no idea what to say about this phone/upgrade

He gave me a number and told me to tell them to phone them at the waterfront and they'll just tell them how to do it and what to do.. Thanks Deep78
 
well thanks to Deep78 i managed to get through to the closet branch that has some brains!

George was the closet where the women listened..asked my number and details and got back to me in 30min telling me i need to 1st sign this one form to show i am looking for the HTC One M7 and am committed to upgrade to this device and package so that she can send it to MTN Direct,once MTN saw the signed paper they send it to that branch ,i go in sing my anytime 200 package with this device and I'm am one happy HTC One owner :D

Glad you got it right dj ... i think MTN really screwed up on this one and honestly ... if i get any issues
like this with them again im just gonna port to Vod one time even thinking that telkom mobile is a good
option but need to test the network a bit more!
 
Any problems getting this to work on cell c network?
Had endless problems getting cell c to sort data settings on my one x+.

I have a contract that i got for my Gf on Telkom Mobile ,Blackberry :/ ..but it only gives her sht! the signal of the coverage is none stop down!,but when she inserts my MTN she has no problems at all.

Agreed if i get my HTC from them and have to upgrade after 2 years and get the slightest problem as i did these 2 months its of to Voda

jip same here ,i just had to sign the 1st form with my signature agreeing on a commitment for if they send the device to that store that i will be taking it up on contract..

It's just so if they send it to the store and you maybe so no thank you that they dont have stock that grows old on the shelves..

So you are agreeing on a contract and device they send from the warehouse ..

What do you mean? like a locked device that only works on MTN? or getting the device on a Cell C contract

Talking about getting the network to send you data settings which you save on phone.
When i got the one x+ and used my cell c sim they could not send me the correct data settings.
Looking to buy HTC One but worried will have same problem with cell c:(

im assuming you want to buy the Htc One cash and use Cell C sim in it,if so it could be that you will be having problems cause they don't have the phone on their system/Network
