Official HTC One thread

I'm due for an upgrade and strongly considering the One. Only thing is Samsung has that accidental damage warranty going on the S4. Is there anything similar from HTC on the One?

You will probably be better off just insuring it along with your household insurance.
 
I think I've been convinced to get this over the Galaxy S 4. It's so much more refined. The UI is also more stylish. Do you guys think FNB will offer this phone?

I had huge hopes they would but by the looks of stock management etc i dont think they will
as they only deal with nofuss hi-end stuff, even though the One is def hi-end comes with lots
of fuss.

This ^^ I was really hoping FNB would be able to make a plan. Then I could pay off my current plan quicker and apply for a new device right away...
 
so today was MTN catalogue refresh. Still no HTC ONE and they still have no dates...sigh. Decided to go for S4 instead. Sad day.
 
Just spoke to MTN Direct today. They have launched the phone but have no stock, I should check with the actual stores which might have stock :/

And What price did they quote you and on which package . Just be careful the fools you talking to arnt referring to the One X
cause MTN staff seem oblivious to any new phone that isnt a samsung
 
so this (hopefully) means MTN and Cell C are getting it in the next 2 weeks...stock that is!

They've actually had stock for about 2 weeks now... They weren't listing it, just allowed preferred clients who had inquired :-/

:/ that's Bull! i personally think the SP's thought"just another HTC device that wont sell " and didn't worry much about it..now that HTC made the mother of all phones and a LOT o peeps want it they have nothing to offer..

i've got a good feeling Vodacom has made a lot of new clients ,being the only SP offering the device

Especially since I spoke to them AFTER my boss got his One from them and the guy insisted that they never had any

That vodacom contract is just so steep , R450
and barely any value the calls or data ................... what to do ???????????????
take it or not :'(
 
Tough call. But I think wait for Cell C at least since they confirmed for this month. At least you can make an educated decision then :)
My contract's been due since April and I'm hanging tough - refused to get ripped off by Vodascum for another 2 years
